We have a great selection of workshops over the Easter holidays for children, aimed at children of 5 years and older (see further details below) we have knitting, screen printing, Easter cake pop decorating, Easter crafts and much more. Places are limited as classes are kept small so do book up now!
EASTER HOLIDAYS 2012
Make a Set of Easter Cards: Tuesday 3 April, 11am – 12.30pm
Join us to make a set of Easter cards using pens, pencils, stencils, stickers and more. Learn to make a egg shaped card with a hidden chick and rabbit shaped cards too. These lovely personal hand made cards can then be sent to family and friends to wish them a happy Easter! Ages 6 & up. Cost: £12.50 / Teacher: Kate Simpson
Easter Biscuits: Wednesday 4 April, 10.30am – 12pm
Decorate pretty biscuits in this fun kid’s session. Using delicious pre-baked biscuits prepared by our chef Leigh, the children will learn how to ice and decorate a selection of Easter themed biscuits which can then be taken home to eat and enjoy with family and friends. Easter Gifts with Tatiana: Wednesday 4 April, 1.30pm – 4.30pm (with a break for a snack)
Join the very talented toy maker Tatiana and practise and improve your hand sewing skills to make a Easter bunny felt decorated egg cosy, then get crafty with an Easter basket perfect for collecting Easter treats on your egg hunt. Suitable for ages 6 and up.

Decorate Eggs & an Egg Cup: Thursday 5 April, 2pm – 3.30pm
Decorate, using paints, buttons, ribbons and more a selection of eggs which we will attach a ribbon to for hanging from Easter twigs to make a pretty centre piece or anywhere else in the home. We will also be designing and painting an egg cup for you to take home and use. Ages 6 and up. Cost: £14.50 / Teacher: Kate Simpson
Sew a Babushka Keyring, Brooch or Bag Charm: Tuesday 10 April, 2pm – 3.45pm
Join us to practise your hand sewing skills and make a small gorgeous babushka doll out of felt and pretty fabrics, you will use a template and follow a simple pattern to create this lovely little figure that we will then show you how to make it into a brooch, key ring or bag charm using a selection of metal fittings. For ages 8 & up. Cost: £18 per person / Teacher: Kate Simpson
Easter Cake Pops for Kids: Wednesday 11 April, 10.30am – 12pm
Join Leigh and have a go at making a selection of Easter themed cake pops, these little balls of cake on sticks can be decorated in a variety of ways to create delicious and fun sweets. You will learn how to make the cake pop balls, dip them in icing and then Leigh will show you to make a range of Easter designs. For children ages 7 & up.

Lavender Bird Wreath with Tatiana: Wednesday 11 April, 1.30pm – 4.30pm (with a break for a snack)
Join talented toy maker Tatiana to make this gorgeous wreath, with a covered wire frame and lavender filled birds or other animals suspended in the middle this would make a lovely all year round decoration for your bedroom. Using hand sewing techniques this is a lovely workshop for the budding toymaker! Cost: £32 / Teacher: Tatiana Porter
Knit an Egg Cosy: Wednesday 11 April, 2pm-4pm
For those with some knitting experience who can cast on, knit straight forward stitches and cast off. Join us at the Studio to knit a cute and colourful egg cosy, choose from a variety of wool and learn some new stitches and techniques. Needles provided. Ages 7 & up with basic knitting skills. Parents and guardians are also welcome to join this workshop (also listed on main workshop page). Cost: £24 per person / Teacher: Monica Russel
Make a Sock Monkey: Thursday 12 April, 10.30am – 12pm
Make a fun and friendly sock monkey in this session with Jennie, you will practise some hand sewing and use your imagination to make a crazy creature to take home using a selection of fabic, buttons, pom poms and ribbons. Ages 7 & up.

Introduction to Screen Printing: Wednesday 18 April, 2pm-4pm
Suitable for children of 7 and up, design and cut your own pattern or image, using scissors, which you will print onto a cotton tote bag in your chosen colour of non-toxic fabric ink. You will learn how to create negative and positive images and how to screen print them onto your bag, please feel free to bring along a light-coloured T-shirt to print onto as well. Once printed you can further decorate your bag (or T-shirt) using beads. Materials are provided, please wear something you don’t mind getting a little inky! Cost: £26 / Teacher: Polly Tucknott
